Mandela Legacy Sites in South Africa Get UNESCO Heritage Tag.

• Historic sites in South Africa linked to the liberation struggle and Nelson Mandela were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
• The South African delegation celebrated the announcement made during the World Heritage Committee session in New Delhi.
• The nomination, titled 'Human Rights, Liberation Struggle and Reconciliation: Nelson Mandela Legacy Sites,' highlights Mandela's legacy.

Indian Astronaut to Join ISS Mission with NASA.

• One of the four astronauts training for India's Gaganyan mission will travel to the ISS in a joint mission with NASA.
• NASA has partnered with private entity Axiom Space, and ISRO signed a Space Flight Agreement for this collaboration.
• During PM Modi's US visit last year, President Biden announced the US-India collaboration to send an Indian astronaut to the ISS in 2024.

Government unveiled Revised Model Skill Loan Scheme.

• Increased Loan Support:The updated scheme offers collateral-free loans of up to Rs. 7.5 lakh and expands eligibility to include Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs), NBFC-Micro Finance Institutions (NBFC-MFIs), and small finance banks.
• Credit Guarantee Expansion: Ensures up to 75% loan default guarantee, raising the eligible loan size from ₹1.5 lakh to Rs. 7.5 lakh.

Ravindra Kumar Appointed MD of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance.

• Ravindra Kumar Kundu has been appointed as the Managing Director of Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company for a five-year term starting October 7.
• Currently serving as Executive Director, Kundu led the company's AUM growth from Rs 67,000 crore in FY'20 to Rs 1,53,000 crore in FY'24.
• The board announced his elevation, highlighting his impactful leadership and growth achievements.

Agniveers Get 10% Reservation in Rajasthan.

• CM Bhajanlal announced 10% reservation for Agniveers in recruiting Rajasthan Police, Forest Guard, and Jail Guard.
• On Kargil Vijay Diwas, 5 BJP-ruled states, including Rajasthan, UP, MP, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Uttarakhand, also announced similar reservations in state jobs.
• Launched in 2022, the Agnipath scheme recruits youth on a four-year contract in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
