India Approves ₹5,000 Crore for Nepal's Hydropower Project.
- India has approved ₹5,792 crore for the 669 MW Lower Arun Hydropower Project in Nepal, managed by Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN).
- The project, set for completion in five years, will be located in Sankhuwasabha District, Nepal, with four units of 167.25 MW each.
- SJVN is also working on the 900 MW Arun 3 Hydropower Project, expected to finish by end of 2024.
