India to host World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly.

• India will host the WTSA in New Delhi in October marking the first time it's held in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Over 3,000 global leaders and experts from 190+ countries will participate.
• The assembly will focus on setting standards for 6G, AI, IoT, big data, cybersecurity, and quantum technologies.
• AI Bharat 5G/6G Hackathon, part of WTSA, focuses on achieving SDGs through telecom innovations.

NHRC Concludes Capacity-Building Programme on Human Rights for Police.

• NHRC organized a two-day residential human rights training for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka police officers, attended by 45 officers from Addl. SP, SP, and DIG ranks.

Darjeeling's Red Panda Program Finalist for WAZA Conservation Award.

• Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park's Red Panda Program is a finalist for the 2024 WAZA Conservation Award Between 22-24 nine captive-bred red pandas were released into Singalila National Park.
• The zoo's conservation efforts are supported by its Biobanking and Genetic Resource Facility.
• The WAZA award winner will be announced on November 7th at the 79th WAZA Annual Conference in Australia.
