UAE Signed Agreements with IMF for Global Poverty Reduction.

• The UAE's Ministry of Finance has signed two agreements with the IMF to contribute to the Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust (PRGT) and the Resilience and Sustainability Trust (RST).
• The agreements were signed during the World Bank Group (WBG) and IMF annual meetings in Washington DC, where the UAE delegation, led by Minister Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, participated.

India to Launch 21st Livestock Census with Key New Features.

• Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh will inaugurate the 21st Livestock Census on 25th October 2024, focusing on detailed data collection of 15 livestock species and poultry birds.
• This census introduces mobile data collection and includes insights on pastoralist holdings and gender roles in livestock rearing.
• Over 1 lakh field officials will survey villages and urban areas.

Mormugao Port Recognized Globally for Green Ship Incentives.

• Mormugao Port Authority became India's first port to implement Green Ship Incentives under the Environmental Ship Index (ESI), gaining recognition from the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH).
• The Harit Shrey scheme, launched in October 2023, offers port fee discounts based on ships' ESI ratings, promoting eco-friendly practices and reducing emissions.

Airbus Inaugurates New India HQ and Training Centre in New Delhi.

• Airbus inaugurated its new India and South Asia HQ and Training Centre in New Delhi, featuring four A320 simulators to train 800 pilots and 200 technicians annually.
• The facility is central to Airbus’ mission of expanding India's aerospace ecosystem, creating skilled jobs, and increasing exports.
• Airbus is also developing additional training facilities and a 5000-seater campus in Bengaluru.

India and China Begun Disengagement at Depsang and Demchok.

• India and China have started disengaging from the last two friction points, Depsang and Demchok, along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), restoring patrolling and grazing rights to pre-2020 levels.
• The disengagement follows continuous diplomatic and military talks, with a focus on restoring the ground situation based on mutual security principles.
