Defence Ministry Launches Rashtraparv Website & App.

• Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh launched the Rashtraparv platform on Good Governance Day, offering event details, live streaming, ticket bookings, and route maps for national ceremonies.
• It includes a Tableau Management Portal for Republic Day preparations.
• The initiative promotes transparency, and citizen engagement, and honors Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

NSDC Recognized as Best Brand in 2024.

• The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was honored as one of the Best Brands of 2024 at a prestigious event in Mumbai.
• The award celebrated NSDC’s transformative role in strengthening India's skill ecosystem and its significant contributions to skill development.
• NSDC operates under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model, under Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.

"Veer Bal Diwas" Marks Martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh’s Sons.

• On 9th January 2022, PM announced 26th December as Veer Bal Diwas to honor the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's sons, Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
• The two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh were bricked alive on the orders of Aurangzeb’s governor of Sirhind.
• The sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons are commemorated on this day.

Centre Releases XV Finance Commission Grants.

• The Govt has released the 15th Finance Commission Grants during FY 24–25, for Rural Local Bodies in Rajasthan and Odisha.
• Rajasthan: ₹614 Cr released for 10,105 Gram Panchayats, 315 Block Panchayats, and 20 District Panchayats.
• Odisha: ₹455 Cr released for 6,794 Gram Panchayats, 314 Block Panchayats, and 30 District Panchayats.

PM to Distribute 50 Lakh Property Cards Under SVAMITVA Scheme.

• PM Modi will distribute over 50 lakh property cards to property owners in 46,000 villages across 200 districts in 10 states and 2 UTs.
• The SVAMITVA Scheme, using drone technology, aims to provide a Record of Rights to rural households, helping with property monetization, credit access, and better village-level planning.
• Drone surveys have been completed in 92% of targeted villages.
