India Becomes Second Most Targeted Nation For Cyberattacks In 2024.

• India ranks second globally after the US in terms of cyberattacks in 2024.
• There were 95 incidents impacting numerous companies in the country, according to CloudSEK, a cyber intelligence platform.
• Over 534 terabytes (TB) of data were traded by threat actors across industries worldwide.
• The most affected sectors globally include: Manufacturing, Real Estate, Healthcare, Technology, Finance​

Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh Focus on Drone Technology.

• Madhya Pradesh: CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated a Drone Training Centre in Indore, emphasizing collaboration with IIT Bhopal to expand drone use among women, youth, and farmers.
• Himachal Pradesh: CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced ₹800 crore for drone stations to modernize disaster management, ensuring swift emergency responses amid climate challenges.

PM Modi Lays Foundation for Ayurveda Research Institute.

• PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the new Central Ayurveda Research Institute building at Rohini, New Delhi.
• The new state-of-the-art building will be constructed at around Rs 185 crore.
• The Central Ayurveda Research Institute was established in 1979.
• The new facility, spanning 2.92 acres will feature a 100-bed research hospital dedicated to advancing Ayurveda research.

Ecuador Declares State of Emergency in Seven Provinces.

• President Daniel Noboa announced a 60-day state of emergency in seven provinces, including Guayas and Manabí, citing rising crime and organized armed groups.
• Emergency measures include suspension of home and correspondence inviolability and night curfews in 20 cantons.
• Ecuador continues to combat internal armed conflict against criminal groups labeled as terrorists.

Odisha CM Launches Tribal Welfare Scheme at Adivasi Mela.

• Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the 11-day famous Adivasi Mela, and launched the Shahid Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Scheme.
• Under this initiative, a one-time annual assistance of Rs 5000 each will be provided to 2 lakh tribal students.
• The scheme has been allocated a budget of Rs 156 crore.
