India Ranks 3rd in LEED Green Building Certifications.

• India retained its third spot in the USGBC’s 2024 LEED certification rankings, with 370 projects covering 8.50 million GSM.
• China led the rankings with 25 million GSM certified, followed by Canada with 10 million GSM.
• LEED certifications in India are managed by GBCI, driving the adoption of sustainable and resilient buildings.

Trump Declares February 9 as "Gulf of America Day".

• Donald Trump signed a proclamation recognizing February 9 as Gulf of America Day after renaming the Gulf of Mexico.
• The executive order, signed on January 20, directed the Department of the Interior to implement the name change.
• The US Coast Guard has started using the term Gulf of America in official communications.

Chaman Arora Wins Sahitya Akademi Award for Dogri.

• Late Chaman Arora received the Sahitya Akademi Award 2024 for his Dogri short story collection Ik Hor Ashwthama.
