Jacob Kiplimo Sets Half-Marathon World Record.

• Jacob Kiplimo from Uganda has made history in the half-marathon. He became the first person to run the race in under 57 minutes.
• Kiplimo finished in 56 minutes, 42 seconds in Barcelona.
• The 24-year-old set the record at the World Athletics Gold Label race.
• He broke the old record of 57:30 set by Ethiopia’s Yomif Kejelcha.
• Kiplimo beat the record by 48 seconds, the biggest improvement ever.

Assam Approves Industrial Park & Green Energy Policy 2025.

• Assam Cabinet has approved a mega industrial park on 569 bighas of land in Morigaon district.
• It also cleared the Assam Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2025 to promote solar, wind, hydro, and hydrogen energy projects.
• These initiatives aim to boost industrial growth and support the state’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.

India-Japan Joint Military Exercise "Dharma Guardian" 2025.

• The sixth edition of Exercise Dharma Guardian will be held at Mount Fuji, Japan, from Feb 25 to Mar 9, focusing on urban warfare and counter-terrorism.
• Earlier on February 11, special forces of India and Egypt commenced the Cyclone III exercise at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan.
• The exercise builds on the momentum from the Army Chief’s Japan visit in Oct 2024.

President Murmu inaugurates Aadi Mahotsav 2025.

• President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the National Tribal Festival Aadi Mahotsav in New Delhi.
• Aadi Mahotsav is being organised by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs from February 16 to 24, 2025, at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi.
• This festival aims to provide a glimpse into the rich and diverse traditional culture of the tribal communities of our country.
