  • A state-of-the-art NABL-accredited Chemical Laboratory will be opened at National Test House, Ghaziabad.
  • The lab will test water, food packaging, construction materials, metals, fertilizers, and plastics, ensuring safety & quality compliance.
  • Equipped with AAS, ICP-AES, OES, GC-MS, HPLC, Ion Chromatograph, it will support research, industry & public health through advanced chemical testing.


Israel launches advanced spy satellite Ofek-19.

  • On 2 Sept 2025, Israel launched Ofek-19, a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)-based reconnaissance satellite, enabling all-weather, day-night surveillance.
  • Launched via Shavit rocket from Palmachim Airbase, it provides sub-half-metre resolution images, tracking regional threats from Iran, Syria & Hezbollah.
  • It bolsters Israel’s independent space capabilities & security cooperation with the U.S.


DRDO conclave boosts MSMEs for UP Defence Corridor.

  • DRDO’s Defence Technology and Test Centre Lucknow hosted a conclave on 6 Sept 2025 to engage MSMEs and start-ups in defence R&D and production.
