India Unveils Logo for India-AI Impact Summit 2026.

• India has officially unveiled the logo for the India-AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to take place on February 19–20, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
• The logo was selected through a public design contest on the MyGov platform, with the winning design, created by Ajith P. Suresh, chosen from 599 entries.
• Core Symbol: Ashoka Chakra.

NPCI Launches Biometric and Wearable Glass Authentication for UPI.

• NPCI and RBI have introduced a new biometric and wearable glass-based authentication system for UPI (Unified Payments Interface) transactions, unveiled at the Global Fintech Fest 2025 in Mumbai.
• The new system allows users to authenticate payments using facial recognition or fingerprints linked to Aadhaar.
• Joint account holders can now require multiple signatories for transactions.

PayPal Integrates India’s UPI into Global Payments Platform.

• PayPal CEO Alex Chriss announced that India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) is now the first payments system integrated into PayPal World, the company’s new global payments platform.
• This partnership marks a major milestone for PayPal and India’s fintech ecosystem, expanding UPI's global footprint and highlighting its transformative role in digital payments.

Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2025 Awarded to Kitagawa, Robson, and Yaghi.

• Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2025 awarded to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M Yaghi for their work in creating molecular constructions with large spaces for gases and chemicals to flow.
• It helps to harvesting water, capturing carbon dioxide, storing toxic gases, and catalyzing chemical reactions.
• The three laureates will share 11 million Swedish crowns (approximately Rs 10 crore).

India’s First Electric Truck Battery Swapping Station in Sonipat.

• Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated India’s first commercial electric truck battery swapping and charging station at Delhi International Cargo Terminal (DICT) in Panchi Gujran village, Sonipat.
• The initiative aims to reduce fuel import costs and lower logistics expenses by promoting electric vehicles for heavy transport.
