DRDO Funds Bharathiar University with ₹99.15 Lakh for Innovative Antidote Research.

  • DRDO (Ministry of Defence, India) sanctioned a ₹99.15 lakh research project to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore.
  • Project title: Development of Novel Antidote(s) for Highly Toxic Organophosphorous Compounds.
  • Executed under DRDO Industry Academia – Centre of Excellence (DIA-CoE) at Bharathiar University.
  • Duration: 36 months (3 years).
  • Objective: Design advanced antidotes to neutralize highly toxic organophosphorous compounds (OPCs) used in industry and agriculture.
  • Focus: Counter severe toxic effects on the human nervous system.
