e-Jagriti Secures Silver at the National Awards for e-Governance 2026.

  • e-Jagriti, the AI-enabled consumer grievance platform of the Department of Consumer Affairs, won the Silver Award for Digital Transformation at the National Awards for e-Governance 2026.
  • Awarded under the category Government Process Re-engineering by Use of Technology.
  • Launched on 1 January 2025, it unified four legacy consumer dispute systems into a single platform.
  • Achieved a 90.75% case disposal rate since its launch.
  • Features include AI chatbot, voice-to-text, and multilingual support.


APEDA Ships First Consignment of Jharkhand’s Amrapali Mangoes to the UK.

  • The first commercial consignment of 1.5 metric tonnes of Amrapali mangoes from Jharkhand was exported to the United Kingdom.
  • The mangoes were sourced from Beura Farmer Producer Company Ltd., an all-women FPC in Simdega district.
  • The export was facilitated by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
  • Amrapali is a hybrid mango variety developed by crossing Dasheri Mango and Neelum Mango.


Neelkanth Mishra Named India’s Executive Director at the World Bank.

  • Neelkanth Mishra appointed as India’s Executive Director at the World Bank on 5 June 2026.
  • He will serve a three-year term at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Larsen & Toubro Commits ₹18,600 Crore Investment in Tamil Nadu.

  • Larsen & Toubro signed a ₹18,600 crore MoU with the Government of Tamil Nadu.
  • The investment aims to develop data centres, electronics manufacturing, and shipbuilding projects.
  • Data centres (₹15,000 crore): Planned in Kancheepuram for cloud, AI, and data storage infrastructure.
  • Electronics manufacturing (₹2,500 crore): Facility in Coimbatore expected to generate jobs.
  • Shipbuilding (₹1,100 crore): Expansion at Kattupalli to strengthen maritime and offshore wind supply chain.
