Maharashtra Clears India’s First Offshore Airport Project in Palghar.

• India's first offshore airport to be developed in Palghar, near Kore Beach.
• Detailed Project Report (DPR) approved by the Maharashtra government.
• Project to be developed by the Maharashtra Airport Development Corporation (MADC).
• Two-runway airport planned to ease congestion at Mumbai airports and meet air traffic demand by 2050.
• Connected through the proposed Uttan–Virar Sea Link extension.
• Part of the Vadhvan Port development project, India's 13th major port.

ISRO Conducts Successful Trial of 175-Tonne PHTA Semi-Cryogenic Engine.

• ISRO successfully conducted the 8th hot test of the Semi-Cryogenic Engine Power Head Test Article (PHTA) at 175-tonne thrust.
• Test conducted at ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri, Tamil Nadu.
• Uses Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and Isrosene (refined kerosene) as propellants.
• SE2000 (2000 kN-class) engine is being developed for the SC120 Semi-Cryogenic Stage.
• Will replace the L110 core stage of LVM3, increasing payload capacity and efficiency.
• Marks a major milestone in India's indigenous semi-cryogenic propulsion technology.

India’s Industrial Production Rises 5.1% in May 2026.

• IIP grew by 5.1% (Year-on-Year) in May 2026, as per MoSPI.
• Base year revised from 2011–12 to 2022–23.
• Output Producer Price Index (Output PPI) replaced WPI as the deflator.
• Manufacturing grew by 5.5%; Electricity & Gas Supply recorded the highest growth at 9.9%.
• Mining & Quarrying contracted by 1.6%.
• Capital Goods registered the highest growth among use-based categories at 12.9%.
• Electrical Equipment was the fastest-growing manufacturing industry (20.8%).

PM Launches Family Care Tracker Pilot and Health Passport in Gandhinagar.

• Launched by Amit Shah on 28 June 2026 in Gandhinagar.
• Pilot project implemented in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
• Digital platform integrating birth-death records with health, nutrition, education, and welfare data.
• Tracks child health and nutrition from prenatal stage to 16 years.
• Provides alerts for missed vaccinations and school dropouts.
• Aims to improve transparent welfare delivery and healthcare access.

Rajasthan and Haryana Ink Agreement for Yamuna Water Project.

• Rajasthan and Haryana signed an agreement in New Delhi for the Yamuna Water Project.
• Rajasthan will receive 580 MCM water from the Yamuna Canal.
• Project includes construction of three underground pipelines (each over 3.6 metres diameter).
• Water transfer from Western Yamuna Canal will take place annually from July to October.
• Beneficiary districts: Rajasthan – Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu; Haryana – Bhiwani, Fatehabad.
• Based on the 1994 Upper Yamuna Basin water-sharing MoU.
• Framework prepared by the Central Water Commission (CWC) to resolve a long-pending dispute.
