1. Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma inaugurates India’s longest road arch bridge at Sohbar
- The Wahrew Bridge at Sohbar in East Khasi Hills district and will connect Bholaganj and Sohbar to Nongjri in East Khasi Hills, bordering Bangladesh
- The bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 49.395 crore under Non Lapsable Central Pool of Resources (NLCPR) of the DoNER ministry
2. India's largest multi-model logistic park to come up at Virochan Nagar in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat
- Gujarat government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the private infrastructure company, Adani Port & SEZ Ltd., to setup the country's largest multi-modal logistics park at Sanand with an estimated investment of ₹50,000 crore
- The proposed 1,450 acre park will have a dedicated air cargo complex with 4.6 km long runway to handle even large sized cargo aircraft and will offer direct air, rail and road connectivity. It will also have a provision of direct rail connectivity with dedicated freight corridor which is part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC)
3. IFFCO ranks first among 300 co-operatives globally based on turnover over GDP per capita
- IFFCO, which has more than 36,000 member cooperatives, has a group turnover of nearly USD 7 billion.
4. Justice Geeta Mittal appointed as new Chairperson of Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC)
- Served as the first woman Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmir High Court, Justice Gita Mittal is also the first woman chairperson of BCCC
- BCCC is the independent self-regulatory body set up by the IBF in June 2011 to examine content-related complaints relating to all non-news general entertainment channels in India
