• The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has operationalised a national helpline number 155260.
• And reporting platform for preventing financial loss due to cyber fraud.
• Which is manned and operated by the concerned state police.

India is ranked 43rd in IMD's World Competitiveness Index 2021.

• An annual world competitiveness index compiled by the Institute for Management Development (IMD).
• That examined the impact of Covid-19 on economies around the world this year.

India is ranked 135th in the 15th edition of the "Global Peace Index" (GPI) 2021.

• Global Peace Index (GPI) is produced by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP).
• India has become 135th most peaceful country while, 5th in South Asia region.
• Index ranks 163 independent states and territories as per level of their peacefulness.
• Iceland is most peaceful country worldwide since 2008.
• Iceland is joined by other top countries like Denmark, New Zealand, Portugal and Slovenia.
• Afghanistan is the least peaceful country again for fourth consecutive year.

"Romania" has been banned from Olympic weightlifting over doping.

• Romania has become the 4th country banned from the Tokyo weightlifting competition.
• After Egypt, Malaysia and Thailand, who were also excluded on doping-related issues.

"Ashish Chandorkar" has been appointed as the Director in the "World Trade Organization" Mission of India.

• Ashish Chandorkar as Counselor in Permanent Mission of India to the WTO for three years.
• For the first time, a private person has been appointed at the Mission.
• Chandorkar is director of Bengaluru-based policy think tank Smahi Foundation of Policy and Research.
