India's 1st indigenous aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, will be commissioned in 2022.

  • It is set to be inducted into the Eastern Naval Command as INS Vikrant by mid-2022.

India successfully test-fired subsonic cruise missile "Nirbhay" off Odisha coast.

  • It has been designed and developed by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
  • The missile partially met the mission objectives during its first test launch in March 2013.
  • All these targets were fully achieved during the second test flight.
  • The second test was conducted in the same year at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Balasore, Odisha.

  • China has launched the first fully electrified bullet train in Tibet’s Himalayan region,
  • linking the provincial capital of Lhasa to Nyingchi, near the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • The 435.5-km Lhasa-Nyingchi section of the Sichuan-Tibet Railway has been inaugurated
  • Ahead of the centenary celebrations of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC) on July 1.
  • Nyingchi is the prefecture-level city of Medog which is adjacent to the Arunachal Pradesh border.



Japan to provide USD 9.3 million aid to India for building cold chain system.
