Ramgarh Wildlife Sanctuary will be notified as the 4th tiger reserve of Rajasthan.

Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the five proposed sites in the country.
It is expected to be formally notified as a Tiger Reserve (TR) ahead of the Global Tiger Summit to be held in Vladivostok, Russia.
The Center also announced the development during the 4th Asia Ministerial Conference on Tiger Conservation.
The Center has already approved the grant of Tiger Reserve status to MM Hills in Karnataka, Guru Ghasidas National Park in Chhattisgarh as well as Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary.

Transparency International has released the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2021 in which India is ranked 85th (score of 40).
The ranking has been jointly topped by three countries- Denmark, Finland and New Zealand (score of 88).
This ranking measures how corrupt each country's public sector is perceived to be.
The results are given on a scale of 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean). 180 countries have been ranked in this.
Last year (for 2020) India was ranked 86th with a score of 40.
This year's Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) shows that the level of corruption is at a standstill across the world.
The global average remained unchanged for the tenth year in a row, only 43 points out of 100.

Russia handed over all contracted 70,000 AK-203 Kalashnikov assault rifles to the Indian Armed Forces on January 25, 2022.
The Indian Armed Forces had ordered 670,000 rifles for which the contract was signed between India and Kalashnikov (Russian Defense Manufacturing Unit) on December 06, 2021.
The total cost of the contract is around Rs 5,124 crore.
The contract included procuring 70,000 rifles off the shelf.

The lightweight AK-203 rifles will replace the army's in-service INSAS (Indian Small Arms System) rifle.

The Russian, Chinese and Iranian navies conducted naval exercise CHIRU-2Q22 in the Gulf of Oman from January 18 to 22, 2022.
The maritime exercise, conducted in the northern parts of the Indian Ocean, aims to deepen practical cooperation between the navies of the three countries.
The participants practiced various tactics and operations, such as salvaging burnt ships, rescuing hijacked ships, shooting at targets, night shooting at air targets, and other tactical maneuvers as a part of the drill.

The Western Naval Command of the Indian Navy conducted a joint maritime exercise Paschim Lehar (XPL-2022) off the west coast that concluded on January 25, 2022.
The exercise continued for 20 days and was conducted with an aim to enhance inter-service synergy between the Indian Navy, the Indian Air Force, the Indian Army and the Coast Guard.
The Western Naval Command (Headquarters- Mumbai) is one of the three command-level formations of the Indian Navy.
The other two are Eastern Naval Command (Headquarters- Visakhapatnam) and Southern Naval Command (Headquarters- Kochi).
