World's highest railway bridge "Golden joint" inaugurated on Chenab in J&K.
- The World's highest railway bridge 'Golden Joint' has been inaugurated in Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir.
- The joints of bridge is connecting two ends of the deck of the world's highest railway bridge.
- Chenab Bridge:
- This bridge is located in Chenab river, will be 35 meters higher than the Eiffel Tower (after completion of project).
- Aim: It will provide direct connectivity to the Kashmir valley.
- The Design life of the bridge is at least 120 years.
Agasthyamalai landscape announced as the 5th elephant reserve of Tamil Nadu.
- The Union Environment Ministry has approved the proposal to designate 1,197.48 sq.km in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli as the Agasthiyarmalai Elephant Reserve.
- This is the fifth elephant reserve of Tamil Nadu.
- The forest department may be eligible for additional financing through the centrally sponsored Project Elephant after notifying the Agasthiyarmalai Elephant Reserve.

IAF participates in Military Drills "Udarashakti" with Malaysia.
- A contingent of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has participated in a bilateral exercise named Udarashakti with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF).
- Indian Air Force is participating in the air exercise with Su-30 MKI and C-17 aircraft while the RMAF will be flying Su 30 MKM aircraft.
- The four days of exercise will witness the conduct of various aerial combat drills between the two Air Forces.

Shashi Tharoor to receive France’s highest civilian award.
- Shashi Tharoor (Senior Congress leader) will be conferred with France’s highest civilian award Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur for his writings and speeches.
- In 2010, he had received a similar honour from the Spanish government, when the King of Spain had bestowed upon him the Encomienda de la Real Order Espanola de Carlos III.
- He is a two-term Lok Sabha MP (Thiruvananthapuram constituency).

Rear Admiral Guillermo Pablo Rios of Argentina named as head of UNMOGIP.
- Argentinean navy officer, Rear Admiral Guillermo Pablo Rios has been named Head of Mission and Chief Military Observer for the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).
- He replaced Major General José Eladio Alcain of Uruguay, who steps down after the completion of his assignment.
- He was also served as the Navy Warfare School’s Education Department Chief (2018), Marines Infantry Fleet Commander (Brigade Commander) (2020–2021).
