- J&K, LG, Manoj Sinha has inaugurated a three-week-long cultural festival Jashn-e-Kashmir- New Kashmir at Srinagar.
- The Cultural Festival is being organized by All J&K Folk Artists Association, Shah Qalander Folk Theatre, in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages and Office of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.
- The govt has taken steps to reconnect youth to their roots and provide an environment to showcase goals and values.
Microsoft launches ARM-based computer for developers.
- Microsoft has launched the Windows Dev Kit 2023, a new personal computer designed for developers using the ARM chip design.
- It is available in eight countries; Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, U.K., and U.S.
- It is a part of ‘Project Volterra’, that was started in May 2022.
- With the help of this new device, developers can build, run, and test Windows apps for Arm on a single compact device.
- It is powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 SoC.
Upper Bhadra scheme will be first national project of Karnataka.
- Karnataka CM, Basavaraj Bommai has announced that the Union cabinet will soon approve the Upper Bhadra lift irrigation scheme.
- It will be the first national project of Karnataka.
- It will revive the drought-prone districts of Chitradurga, Chikkamagaluru, Davanagere and Tumakuru, as it is expected to irrigate about 2.3 lakh hectares by drawing water from the Tunga and Bhadra rivers.
- He has also announced that the Tumakuru-Davanagere railway line has been reviewed.
Aman Sehrawat wins first ever gold for India in U23 World Championships.
- Indian wrestler, Aman Sehrawat (16) has become the first Indian wrestler to win a gold medal at the U-23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra, Spain.
- He has defeated Ahmet Duman of Turkey by 12-4 in the finals.
- India has finished with six medals - one gold, one silver, and four bronze at the U-23 World Wrestling Championships 2022.
- Sajan Bhanwala became the first Greco-Roman wrestler from India to win a medal bronze at the U23 world wrestling championships.

- A new book The Corbett Papers has been co-edited by educator Akshay Shah and writer Stephen Alter.
- This book was published by Hachette India.
- This book has brought together lesser known parts of Jim Corbett's life through unpublished letters, documents and a privately-published book.
- Corbett was born in Nainital in 1875, was known for tracking and hunting down a number of man-eating tigers and leopards in different parts of North India.
