United States tops the recently released World Digital Competitiveness Index.

Recently the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) released the World Digital Competitiveness Ranking.
Economies of a total of 64 countries have been included in this ranking.
India ranks 49th in this index.
India ranks 12th among 14 countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
The United States ranks first in the index.
Netherlands is in second place and Singapore is in third place.
Denmark is ranked fourth and Switzerland is fifth.
This index is prepared on the basis of 3 indicators.
These indicators are – knowledge, technology and future preparedness.

Recently the Central Government released the figures of the country's economic growth rate.
These figures are for the second quarter of the financial year 2023-24.
According to this data, the country's economic growth rate in this second quarter has been 7.6%.
The main reason for the economy registering growth is the better performance of the manufacturing, mining and service sectors.
The country's economic growth rate in the first quarter of 2023-24 was 7.8%.
India is the fastest growing economy in the world with a growth rate of 7.6%.
Nominal GDP or gross domestic product at current prices in the second quarter of the year 2023-24 is estimated to be Rs 71.66 lakh crore.
Whereas in the second quarter of the year 2022-23 it was Rs 65.67 lakh crore.

Global Ayurveda Festival is being organized in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
It is being organized from 1 to 5 December.
This is the fifth Global Ayurveda Festival.
The festival was inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar.
The theme of this conference is 'Emerging Challenges in Healthcare and a Resurgent Ayurveda'.
It will also be India's first dedicated business-to-business meeting on Ayurveda medical tourism.
The conference will bring together international practitioners of Ayurveda, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders to explore its impact in health care.

Recently the Government of Odisha has launched Ama Bank for financial inclusion.
This bank scheme was launched by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Its objective is to provide banking services through Customer Service Points (CSP) plus banking outlets.
Under this, those 4,373 gram panchayats will be covered where banking services are not available.
Banking facilities in all these gram panchayats will be completed by March 2024.
These outlets will provide 15 banking services.
Through this, a system will be developed to provide doorstep services to the elderly, disabled persons and pregnant women.
The government will provide rent-free banking space for five years.

Recently elections were held for the International Maritime Organization Council.
These elections were held in London.
In this election, India has been elected to the International Maritime Organization Council.
India has been elected to the Council for the year 2024-25.
This council IMO It has an executive body which is responsible for monitoring the functioning of the organization.
India has been re-elected to this council.
