Coal-Based Power Generation in India Rises by Over 8%.

• A significant rise in domestic coal-based power generation reaching almost 780 Billion Units between April and November 2023.
• Compared to last year, coal import for blending records a decrease of 44%, falling to over 15 metric tonnes.
• The Coal Ministry aims to augment coal production to enhance availability and diminish reliance on imported coal.

UP CM Yogi Adityanath gifted tractors to farmers on Kisan Diwas.

• On Charan Singh's birth anniversary, Yogi Adityanath paid tribute by distributing tractors to 51 farmers under Krishak Uphar Yojana.
• He is also set to unveil a 51-foot-tall statue of Charan Singh in Bilari Assembly, Moradabad.
• Singh served as the 5th Prime Minister of India, also holding positions as Union minister and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.

ISRO's Aditya-L1 mission set to reach destination.

• S Somanath confirmed that India's first solar mission, Aditya-L1, is expected to reach the Lagrangian Point (L1) on January 6.
• Once at L1, Aditya-L1 will study and measure solar events for the next five years, and will provide valuable data.
• Somanath also revealed ISRO's plan to construct an Indian space station, 'Bharatiya Space Station', as part a technologically powerful country.

Bihar Police to initiate "Mission Investigation@75" days.

• Bihar Police will mandate investigators to finish case investigations within 75 days of FIR registration starting January 1, 2024.
• Performance evaluations of all police stations and district police will commence on a monthly basis from the same date.
• These initiatives are part of the Bihar government's effort to foster a more people-friendly and accountable police service.

JioMart partners with DAY-NRLM to enable SHGs sell products.

• Partnership aims to empower Self-Help Group under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission to expand their market presence through JioMart.
• JioMart to provide comprehensive support for account setup, digital navigation, training, and post-launch assistance to SHGs.
