India's Maternal Mortality Ratio heavily reduced: UN MMEIG report.

• As per the UN MMEIG 2020 report, India's MMR declined from 384 in 2000 to 103 in 2020, a 6.36% annual reduction rate.
• The decline in India's MMR is three times higher than the global decline rate of 2.07%.
• Government initiatives like PMSMA, SUMAN, JSSK, LaQshya, VHSND, and HWCs have contributed to this decline.

Azerbaijan won 10th International IIHM Young Chief Olympiad.

• Azerbaijan's Leyla Valiyeva won Gold at the 10th International IIHM Young Chef Olympiad 2024.
Philippines' Clifford Jeff Cadunggo Unabia and Nepal's Kamal Thapa shared Silver, while Italy's Francesco Orsi took Bronze.
• The closing ceremony took place in Kolkata.
• YCO also recognizes winners for best vegetarian dish, best crème souffle a l'orange, best kitchen practice, best knife skills etc.

Country's first copper made Bapu Tower Built in Patna.

• The Bapu Tower is dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and is located in Gardanibagh, Patna.
• The tower is 120 feet tall and has six stories.
• The tower also includes an exhibition related to Gandhi's history and Bihar, with sculptures and artifacts crafted in Ahmedabad.
• An exhibition related to the history of Gandhiji and Bihar is being organized in this tower at a cost of about Rs 45 crore.

Noida recognized as "Water Warrior" city for wastewater treatment.

• Noida has been awarded the Water Warrior title by the Union Water Ministry for its efforts in wastewater treatment and reuse.
• The city received awards in two categories: best sewage treatment plant and water reuse project of the year.
• Noida currently operates eight STPs with a total capacity of 411 MLD, treating 260 MLD of sewage, of which 70-75 MLD is reused for various purposes.

UAE grants Golden Visa to Super 30 founder Anand Kumar.

• Anand Kumar has been granted the Golden Visa by the United Arab Emirates government, joining the ranks of prominent Indian celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
• The Golden Visa, introduced in 2019, offers long-term residency in the UAE, allowing recipients to live, work, and study independently.
• Kumar was nominated for the Golden Visa by the UAE Embassy in India.
