India halts Ravi River water flow to Pakistan.

• Shahpur Kandi barrage completion diverts Ravi river water, enhancing irrigation in Jammu and Kashmir, and supporting over 32,000 hectares in Kathua and Samba districts.
• Based on the 1960 Indus Water Treaty, India leverages rightful control of Ravi, Sutlej, and Beas rivers to redirect water for domestic use.
• The project, was initiated by PM PV Narasimha Rao and advanced by Narendra Modi.

PM Modi to inaugurate Sikkim's first railway station.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for Sikkim's first railway station, Rangpo Station.
• Rangpo station is the form of a touristic and defensive point of view for Sikkim and India Sikkim did not have a railway line earlier.
• This is the third mode of connectivity for the people of Sikkim, So far, people are traveling here by Road and airways.

Philippines becomes 1st Asian country to ratify ILO convention.

• The Philippines has become the first Asian country to ratify a convention to end workplace violence and harassment.
• The Philippines deposited the instrument of ratification of the Violence and Harassment Convention 2019 (No. 190) with ILO Deputy Director-General Celeste Drake on Tuesday, becoming the 38th country in the world and the first Asian country to ratify Convention No. 190.

Narendra Modi in Gujarat inaugurates Sudarshan Setu Bridge.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Sudarshan Setu, 2.5 kilometers long – India’s longest cable-stayed bridge which will connect the Okha mainland and the Beyt Dwarka island in Gujarat.
• It was built at a cost of around ₹980 crores.
• Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for the bridge in October 2017.
• The four-lane bridge has 2.50-metre-wide footpaths on each side.

President Murmu to open "Purple Fest" at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

• Purple Fest, is to be inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
• The event features interactive stalls, Purple Cafe, sports, live experiences, and tours of the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum to highlight and promote accessibility and inclusion.
• The fest offers a platform for insights into creating a more inclusive society, touching on various disabilities.
