India launched its 1st reusable hybrid rocket "RHUMI-1".

• Space Zone India launched RHUMI-1, a reusable hybrid rocket carrying 3 Cube Satellites and 50 PICO Satellites, to study global warming and climate change.
• The rocket uses a hybrid motor with no pyrotechnics and a mobile launcher for a suborbital trajectory.
• Led by Anand Megalingam and mentored by Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, RHUMI-1 integrates liquid and solid propellants for efficiency.

Coal Ministry unveiled Safety Portal to achieve zero mining accidents.

• The Ministry of Coal introduced the National Coal Mines Safety Report Portal, featuring Accident and Safety Audit Modules to enhance safety management in coal mines.

Astronomers Launch Citizen Black Hole Finder App.

• The app has been launched by the Dutch Black Hole Consortium in eight languages and is now available for citizens to use worldwide.
• The app uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help sort through all the potential signals that might indicate a kilonova or a black hole.

South India's First Adivasi Library "Kaanu" to Open in Karnataka.

• South India’s first adivasi library, Kaanu, will open in Chamarajanagar on August 25, focusing on research and documentation of tribal cultures.
• Located at the Institute of Public Health, it features 1,200 books and papers on South Indian forest tribes like Jenu Kuruba and Soliga.
• Kaanu aims to support adivasi scholars and promote tribal knowledge and traditions.
