Scotland ready to host 2026 Commonwealth Games.

• Scotland will host the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow after Victoria, Australia, withdrew due to high costs.
• The Scottish government will fund the event with £20 million from the Commonwealth Games Federation and £2.3 million backup from the UK government.
• The Games will be smaller than in 2014 but will focus on celebrating sporting excellence and unity.

White Revolution 2.0 to Boost Dairy Sector and Empower Women.

• Union Minister Amit Shah unveiled White Revolution 2.0 to transform India's dairy cooperative sector.
• The program focuses on 4 key areas - empowering women farmers, enhancing milk production, strengthening dairy infrastructure, and boosting dairy exports.
• Under White Revolution 2.0, the govt. aims to increase milk procurement by dairy cooperative societies by 50% over the next 5 years.

Gujarat wins most awards at renewable energy meet.

• Gujarat led with the most awards at the 4th Global Renewable Energy Investors Meet, excelling in overall renewable energy and wind power capacities.
• It was also second in solar power capacity.
• Other top states included Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka (each with two awards), and Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand (one each) for hydropower capacity.

Jordan Becomes First Leprosy-Free Nation.

• WHO declared Jordan as the first country to eliminate leprosy, marking a major public health milestone.
• Jordan has not reported any local cases for over 20 years, leading to this declaration after an independent assessment.
• Leprosy still affects over 120 countries, with more than 200,000 new cases annually.

PM launched "Acharya Chanakya Skill Development" Scheme in Maharashtra.

• The Acharya Chanakya Skill Development scheme is aimed at establishing training centers in prominent colleges across Maharashtra.
• The initiative targets youth aged 15 to 45, providing free skill development training to help them become self-reliant and improve employment prospects.
• Approximately 150,000 youths in the state will benefit from this program each year.
