India Ranks 176 in 2024 Global Nature Conservation Index.

  • India ranked 176th out of 180 countries in the Global Nature Conservation Index (NCI) with a score of 45.5/100, placing it at bottom before Kiribati, Turkey, Iraq & Micronesia.
  • The low rank is due to poor land management, high biodiversity threats, excessive pesticide use & inadequate marine conservation efforts.
  • The index was launched by Goldman Sonnenfeldt School of Sustainability & BioDB.


Pakistan Ranked 3rd Worst in Law and Order: World Justice Project.

  • Pakistan is ranked 140th out of 142 countries in the World Justice Project's Rule of Law Index for order and security, after Mali and Nigeria.
  • The ranking is based on factors such as crime control, protection from armed conflicts, and the use of violence in civil disputes.
  • Denmark leads globally, followed by Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Germany.


NTPC & Indian Army to Set Up Solar Hydrogen Microgrid in Ladakh.

  • NTPC and the Indian Army have collaborated on a solar hydrogen-based microgrid in Chushul, Ladakh.
  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh laid the project’s foundation stone via video conferencing.
  • This green hydrogen microgrid aims to replace diesel generators, offering sustainable energy in off-grid Army locations.
  • The system is designed to function independently, even in severe winter conditions
