• The digital economy now contributes 12% to GDP, with e-commerce growing at 35% annually, reaching a GMV of $200 bn.

India-UK Resume Free Trade Negotiations.

• India and the UK agreed to resume free trade negotiations between the two countries.
• This is an outcome of discussions held between Prime Minister Modi and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Keir Starmer on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro in November 2024.
