Pakistan Becomes Second-Most Terrorism-Affected Country in 2024.

  • Pakistan ranks second on the Global Terrorism Index 2025, with terrorism-related deaths rising by 45%, from 748 in 2023 to 1,081 in 2024.
  • The country saw a significant increase in terror attacks, with the number more than doubling from 517 in 2023 to 1,099 in 2024.
  • This marks the first time attacks have exceeded 1,000 since the Index's inception.


UP CM Launches Credit Camp Under Yuva Udyami Scheme.

  • UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a joint credit camp in Gorakhpur and Basti to support youth entrepreneurship under the Mukhya Mantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan.
  • The scheme, launched in January 2025, has received 2.5 lakh applications, with ₹931 crores in loans approved for 24,000 applicants.
  • ₹400 crores have already been distributed to 10,500 entrepreneurs.

  • Punjab government launched Project Hifazat to ensure women’s safety & dignity, strengthening the response mechanism for violence victims.
  • The 24×7 Women and Child Helpline under Mission Shakti & Mission Vatsalya will provide emergency & non-emergency support.
  • The project aims to eliminate the fear preventing women from reporting abuse & streamline coordination among police & agencies.


Govt Allocates ₹10,300 Crore for IndiaAI Mission

  • The government has allocated ₹10,300 crore for the IndiaAI mission to build cutting-edge AI infrastructure and support innovation.
  • The mission includes the development of 18,693 GPUs and AI Centres of Excellence in healthcare, agriculture, and sustainable cities.
  • India is also working on its own AI models and datasets, including the BharatGen LLM initiative for public service delivery.
