India Achieves 7th Place at the 2025 International Mathematical Olympiad.

• India won 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze at the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025.
• The event was held in Sunshine Coast, Australia.
• The results were announced by the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education in Mumbai.
• India ranked 7th globally in 2025, scoring 193 out of 252 points – its highest ever score.

Government aims to raise share of tourism in economy to 10%.

• The Union Minister of Culture and Tourism has said that the government is committed to raising the contribution of tourism in the country’s economy to 10% by 2047.
• India’s tourism sector, rich in heritage, culture, and diversity, is emerging as a global favorite and a key driver of economic growth.
• India’s economy is $4 trillion today, expected to reach $32 trillion by 2047.

India developing Multi-Stage Malaria Vaccine named as AdFalciVax.

• AdFalciVax is a multi-stage malaria vaccine candidate being developed in India.
• It targets two critical stages of Plasmodium falciparum — the deadliest malaria parasite.
• AdFalciVax is the first indigenous recombinant chimeric malaria vaccine in India.
• Developed by ICMR in partnership with DBT–NII (Department of Biotechnology – National Institute of Immunology).

Assam Govt Launches Milk Subsidy Scheme To Boost Dairy Sector.

• The Assam government has launched a milk subsidy scheme for dairy farmers.
• Under the scheme, farmers will get a subsidy of ₹5 per litre of milk.
• The milk must be provided to cooperative societies for processing.
• The scheme aims to: Boost dairy production, Increase farmer income and Promote a dairy revolution in rural areas.

Odisha govt to launch Shaktisree programme.

• The Odisha government has announced a new programme called Shaktisree.
• It is aimed at ensuring the safety of girl students in colleges and universities.
• Announced by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in Bhubaneswar.
• The programme will be implemented in:
• All 16 universities.
• 730 government and aided colleges under the Higher Education Department.
