• Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the successful test of the nuclear-powered Burevestnik cruise missile, which reportedly has an unlimited range.
• The missile flew for 15 hours and covered 14,000 km during successful trials.
• The Burevestnik missile is part of Russia’s new-generation strategic arsenal, designed to enhance nuclear deterrence and global strike capability.

RBI Withdraws 2016 Lending Cap on Large Corporate Borrowers.

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has withdrawn its 2016 circular that capped the total lending banks could collectively extend to a single large corporate borrower.
• The 2016 rule aimed to reduce concentration risk by limiting system-wide exposure.
• The withdrawal comes as the corporate sector’s share in bank lending has dropped by nearly 10% since 2016.

Flipkart Launches Bharat Yatra Card for Seamless Public Transport.

• Flipkart, in collaboration with Pine Labs, has launched the Flipkart Bharat Yatra Card, a digital prepaid card for easy and fast public transport payments.
• The card is NCMC-enabled and allows commuters to pay for metros, buses, and other transit systems using a single smart card.
• It is a ₹50 prepaid, reloadable, non-KYC card.

Andhra Pradesh on High Alert as Cyclone Montha Nears Coast.

• Cyclone Montha over the southeast Bay of Bengal is expected to cause heavy to very heavy rainfall and strong winds in Andhra Pradesh.
• The state government has stepped up preparedness to prevent loss of life and property.
• Cyclone Montha is expected to make landfall on the Andhra Pradesh coast near Kakinada, between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam.

Gukesh and Divya Shine with Double Gold at European Chess Club Cup.

• Indian Grandmasters Gukesh Dommaraju and Divya Deshmukh clinched two gold medals each at the 2025 European Chess Club Cup.
• Gukesh represented Team Super Chess, while Divya played for Cercle d’échecs de Monte-Carlo, which won the Women’s Team Championship.
