Study Finds Uranium in Breast Milk Samples Across Bihar Districts.
- A Scientific Reports study detected uranium (U-238) in breast milk samples from several districts in Bihar, raising concerns about infant exposure.
- Using ICP-MS (inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometry), researchers found detectable uranium in all 40 samples, with the highest levels in Katihar and Khagaria (up to 5.25 µg/L).
