IIT Kharagpur Launches Impact RISE for Sustainable Tech & Skilling.

• IIT Kharagpur has launched Impact RISE (Research, Innovation, Skilling, and Entrepreneurship), an initiative aimed at sustainable technology, management practices, and societal transformation.
• The programme is built on four pillars—research, innovation, skilling, and entrepreneurship.
• Impact RISE includes missions focused on climate resilience in the Sundarbans.

EPFO Sets Up Panel for Major Cadre Restructuring Reform.

• EPFO has formed a four-member committee to overhaul its cadre structure, aiming to boost internal efficiency and improve service delivery for over 27 crore members.
• The panel will evaluate current staffing patterns, fix structural gaps, streamline workflows, and recommend reforms to reduce delays and enhance subscriber services.
• The committee is chaired by BP Sharma.

MapmyIndia–Zoho Launch India’s First Indigenous Geo-Smart CRM.

• MapmyIndia Mappls and Zoho CRM have partnered to create India’s first fully indigenous CRM–geospatial integration, boosting the nation’s Atmanirbhar Bharat tech ecosystem.
• The integration brings location intelligence tools into Zoho CRM, including Address Capture, Nearby Lead Finder, Location Visualisation, and Sales Route Optimisation.

CEC Gyanesh Kumar to Chair International IDEA in 2026.

• Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will assume the Chairship of International IDEA for 2026, with the formal handover taking place in Stockholm, Sweden.
• International IDEA, founded in 1995 and headquartered in Stockholm, is an intergovernmental organisation of 35 member countries, working to strengthen democratic institutions, electoral systems, and inclusive governance worldwide.

SC Accepted the recommendations on the Definition of Aravalli Hills.

• The Supreme Court accepted the recommendations of a Union Environment Ministry panel on the definition of Aravalli Hills to restrict mining.
• For decades, the Aravalli hills have been under severe pressure from mining, and other development activities such as construction.
• Last year, the SC had asked the government to come up with an uniform definition of the Aravalli.
