APCNF Wins 2026 Food Planet Prize for Promoting Sustainable Agriculture.

Andhra Pradesh Community Managed Natural Farming won the 2026 Food Planet Prize on June 2, 2026, in Sweden.
Award presented by the Curt Bergfors Foundation with a prize of USD 1.5 million (≈ ₹14 crore).
Recognized for its large-scale sustainable and natural farming model.
Engages 1.8 million farmers across 8,000 villages, making it one of the world’s largest agroecology movements.
Selected as the winner among four global finalists.
Andhra Pradesh aims to become a 100% natural farming state by 2047.
Model is based on women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and community-led farming systems.

NPCI International Payments Limited launched UPI payment acceptance in Cambodia in partnership with ACLEDA Bank.
The system links India’s UPI with Cambodia’s KHQR under the Bakong payment network.
Phase 1: Indian travellers can pay at 4.5 million merchant outlets in Cambodia using UPI.
Phase 2: Enables two-way interoperability, allowing Cambodian users to pay in India using domestic apps.
Cambodia becomes the 9th country globally to accept UPI payments.
Other countries with UPI acceptance include Singapore, UAE, France, Mauritius, Nepal, Bhutan, Qatar, and Sri Lanka.

Chandigarh University and Intel India inaugurated the IndiaAI Data Lab on June 2, 2026.
It is the first IndiaAI Data Lab set up in a private university in India.
Introduces new programs: MCA (Data Science) and BCA (Data Science) in collaboration with Intel India.
Students can earn Intel certifications each semester to improve industry readiness.
Provides AI-powered PCs and infrastructure for training in Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and emerging technologies.
Acts as a hub for hackathons, research, faculty development, and industry–academia collaboration.

Mera Yuva Bharat received a Guinness World Record on June 4, 2026, for the highest participation in an online quiz in one week.
Recognized for the Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week under the VBYLD Quiz.
Total participation: 8.39 lakh users, with 3,90,812 validated participants.
Participation covered all 28 States and 8 Union Territories of India.
Record assessment period: October 25–31, 2025.
Platform has over 2.19 crore registered users, targeting India’s youth population.
Initiative operates under the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
