IIT Madras Unveils the World’s Most Detailed 3D Brainstem Atlas.

IIT Madras unveiled ANCHOR, the world's most detailed 3D atlas of the human brainstem.
ANCHOR was developed by the Sudha Gopalakrishnan Brain Centre (SGBC) at IIT Madras.
The atlas integrates MRI, histology, and chemo-architecture into a single 3D multimodal framework.
It maps over 200 brainstem nuclei and fiber tracts using 500+ serial sections.
The atlas is designed to support research and diagnosis of neurological disorders.

The World Bank projected India's GDP growth at 6.6% in 2026, making it the fastest-growing major economy.
India's economy grew 7% in 2025, with strong growth expected to continue.
The global growth forecast for 2026 was lowered to 2.5%.
2026 GDP growth projections: China – 4.2%, United States – 2.2%, Euro Zone – 0.8%, Japan – 0.7%.
Brent crude oil is projected to average $94 per barrel in 2026, while global inflation is expected at 4%.

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) ranked 22nd globally in the World Bank's Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) 2025, making it India's best-performing container port.
Pipavav Port ranked 28th globally, emerging as India's top-performing private container port.
Mundra Port ranked 30th globally.
The report noted that global port congestion caused by shipping disruptions has affected shipping capacity and freight rates.
China accounted for four of the world's top five best-performing container ports in CPPI 2025.

MoRTH adopted InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) technology to monitor and provide early warnings for landslides on Himalayan highways.
A 100-km pilot project has been launched on the Char Dham route in Uttarakhand, with a real-time monitoring system on NH-5 (Parwanoo–Solan) in Himachal Pradesh.
The initiative aims to improve the climate resilience and safety of hill roads.
Geological Survey of India (GSI) and THDC India Limited are supporting the project through strategic partnerships.
GSI was established in 1851 and is headquartered in Kolkata.

India and Nepal launched a UPI–NPI cross-border remittance linkage for real-time peer-to-peer (P2P) money transfers.
The system connects India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with Nepal's National Payments Interface (NPI).
The integration was implemented by NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL) and Nepal Clearing House Limited (NCHL).
It enables instant, secure cross-border transfers through mobile banking apps and digital wallets.
NPCI was established in 2008 as the umbrella organization for retail payment and settlement systems in India.
