  • Supreme Court approved the ₹1,510-crore Kukrail Night Safari and Day Zoo Project in Lucknow.
  • It will be India’s first Night Safari and the world’s fifth such facility.
  • Project will be developed over 855 acres in Kukrail Reserve Forest.
  • Features moonlight-mimicking lighting and battery-operated vehicles for visitors.
  • Will house species such as Asiatic lions, Bengal tigers, leopards, hyenas, flying squirrels, and gharials.
  • Project received approvals from the State Wildlife Board, Central Zoo Authority, and Central Empowered Committee.
